The two elements are intertwined.

As per Merriam-Webster dictionary Well-Being is “the state of being happy, healthy, or prosperous” and Aristoteles (384 – 322 b.C.) defined “Happiness as the Ultimate Purpose of Human Existence”. According to Stephen M. Campbell (Bentley University) “the topic of well-being (welfare, self-interest, the good life) concerns how well an individual is doing or faring and, more broadly, how well one’s life goes for her. Things that positively impact your well-being are good for you, benefit you, are in your self-interest, or have prudential value for you; things that negatively impact your well-being are bad for you, harm you, or have prudential disvalue for you”.

Finally as per The Global Wellness Institute Wellness (which is a synonym for Well-Being) is “the active pursuit of activities, choices, and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health”.

We are in a state of happiness and health when all energy flows in our body are in perfect harmony. In case there is imbalance or disharmony some of our body functions do not perform well any more and illness is the consequence.

Energy healing encompasses all  concepts of energy: light, sound, electro-magnetism, body, mind and spirit. In Taoist alchemy and Chinese Medicine traditions Energy is  “Chi”, with its Cosmic and Microcosmic cycles and flows through the channels or meridians in the physical body. In Yogic Hinduism breath is “Prana” with the “Chakras”, and especially the concepts of multiple bodies beyond the physiological body such as the etheric, the astral, the emotional, the mental and the spirit bodies. Healers in shamanic traditions use the earth electromagnetism.
